wanna blather abt ds3 not for any particular reason other than im in the mood to Yell abt it. putting stuff under a cut so as to not occupy too much dash space :)
I've gotten up to aldrich, and while he's currently giving me some trouble i can pretty reliably get him to half health, which i think is a good sign. although can i just say FUCK THE SILVER KNIGHTS they gave me so much more trouble than they were worth. i say they were trouble, in part because i've found that they are very weak to the black flame spell, so i've just been whacking them with it to break their defenses and then smacking them to death with my sword. going into magic was a good idea i think, gave me access to a bunch more fun stuff to throw at my opponents. than just whacking them with a sword. now im just indecisive on weather i want to go further into int based stuff and do cool sorcerer stuff, or if i want to go more into faith and chuck lightning bolts at stuff. I've mostly been sticking with pyromancy (great combustion my beloved) since i've found it works better with the way i generally tend to use magic, but i've also relied on miracles for healing to save on estus. i also beat yhorm ( after several attempts to figure out how storm ruler worked, i don't tend to use weapon skills so i spent a few attempts uselessly flailing about while trying to hit the right buttons) to be honest, i kind of expected the profaned capital to be bigger?? since like, both aldrich and the abyss watchers had a fairly sizeable areas leading up to them, and poor yhorm just gets stuck in this little area underneath a dungeon. (an extremely unpleasant dungeon, imo. 0/10 i want the creepy jailer mask but not badly enough to fight more of those health bar crunching bastards) I did get a big torch mace off one of the gargoyles though, and since my current weapon (flamberge) also scales with strength, i had enough to use it. The big fire blast attack is fun, but i think i'm going to need more stamina before it's a weapon i can use in any practical sense.
